I'm currently a Sophomore Computer Science major here at Chapman and I've been spending a lot of time this syear learning Ubuntu Linux, Web Design, and Networking. I attended Ubuntu Live and OSCON 2007 in July, and had a blast. I've been working with the Ubuntu California LoCo, and we just exhibited at the Southern California Linux Expo.
I'm currently enrolled in these courses for the Spring 2008 Semester:
After reformatting my laptop's hard drive and installing Ubuntu during Spring Break, I've pretty much been Windows-free. I like reading a lot, lately it's been Philip K. Dick (Just finished The Man in the High Castle, which I highly recommend) and Fake Steve Jobs. I've been playing around with my own web server, and have learned basic Linux administration (along with HTML, CSS, and PHP) the hard way. I enjoy testing my limits, and really strive to progress and improve in every aspect of my life.
I'm helping revive our Ubuntu LoCo (Local Community) team, and we've already got a pretty good response. Come join our irc channel, #ubuntu-california on irc.freenode.net (You can head here for a web-based interface: http://java.freenode.net//index.php?channel=ubuntu-california&&nick=your_name_here, just put in the nickname you'd like to use.
