This Chapman Seminar Series is designed to prepare students for the Mathematical Association of America's American Inivitational Mathematical Examination offered each Spring, as well as the precursors to them, the American Methematical Competitions.
This series of seminars will cover topics that are covered in the examination and allows students to explore advanced mathematical topics not covered at the secondary education level. Each seminar explores multiple topics, with each topic being taught by university faculty. Seminars run from the morning until early afternoon with a pizza lunch being provided afterwards.
This year Chapman University will be a host for the AMC 10 and 12 Part B, so if your high school is not a site for the AMCs please contact Dr. M. Vajiac and she will sign you up for any of the two. If you already took AMC Part A, this is a great chance to improve your scores and possibley take part in the AIME. We will meet in Beckman 403G. For more information about the AIME, visit the official AIME hopepage. Any high school students in the southern California region are encouraged to participate.

To sign up for the next AIME Preparation Seminar, email Dr. Mihaela Vajiac.
