the Chapman Network

Once the hardware has been
installed, Network Management consists primarily of
- downloading and compiling
or configuring open source tools
- cobbling together scripts
to carry out routine operations
- creating scripts to
extract data from log files to generate management reports
I will give a brief overview
of the Chapman Network and discuss ways in which software plays a role in network
management.
