Description

Emerging PC Technology – Hardware features 19 Interactive Lessons and +20 Hands-On, Step-By-Step Lab exercises on installing, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing preventive maintenance on the latest PC Hardware.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify the fundamental principles of using personal computers

  • Recognize personal computer components and their purposes

  • Identify the features of motherboards, processors, memory

  • Identify the features of storage devices, power supplies, and display devices

  • Recognize the features of ports and cables, adapter cards, and input devices

  • Install, configure, optimize, and upgrade personal computer components

  • Identify troubleshooting and preventive maintenance techniques for personal computer components

  • Perform basic troubleshooting on personal computer components in a given scenario
