Transition coaches are needed to work with teams of students in each Advanced Career Strategies class we offer. Although it is just one discipline within the coaching industry, career and transition coaching is an area very frequently encountered in executive, management and life coaching. The bottom line is that the knowledge base and strategies practiced in this course will increase the effectiveness of coaches in all coaching disciplines.

Before the course begins, the selected coaches receive a one-day workshop to prepare them for coaching a team of 6 to 8 candidates. During the 12 weeks of the course, coaches become skillful in the following: assessments; positioning within an industry; targeting appropriate organizations; interview preparation; the development of written materials; the development and use of special reports, portfolios and proposals; approach and follow-up strategies; salary negotiation; and the preparation of a 3 to 5 year career plan.

After completing the 10-week course, you will receive a certificate from Chapman University for your work as a Career and Transition Coach. Several dozen professional coaches have taken part in this course so far and 100% of them found it rewarding, enlightening and useful in their coaching work.
