Human Performance Improvement Defined The human performance improvement process is a way to solve problems. It provides you with a systematic process to follow on what can often be a not-so-systematic path. In addition to identifying human performance gaps and their possible solutions, this standardized approach offers the ability to measure the success of your efforts and eliminate the guesswork that follows when a performance gap must be evaluated. Whether you are an internal employee or an external consultant, you can use the HPI process to guide an organization to a solution for its performance problems. The HPI Certificate Program As a training and development professional, you are under pressure to accomplish more in less time with fewer resources. You are charged with the task of helping your organization improve current performance using fewer full-time and more part-time employees while introducing often-daunting industry changes wrought by new technology. Not only must you continue to prove the bottom-line and economic value of what you do, you must function in real time and offer situation-appropriate interventions to ensure that your organization performs successfully in an increasingly fierce global arena. You are moving from being training providers to being workplace learning and performance consultants. As a consultant, you must be able to determine the cause of performance problems and recommend the appropriate performance improvement interventions. Training may or may not be the solution. The HPI Certificate Program will supply you with the skills you need to succeed in this vastly changing industry. Who Should Take the HPI Program? The HPI program is designed for experienced practitioners in both private and public sectors of training, human resources, and organization development who are responsible for improving employee performance for their organization. The following individuals will benefit from the HPI program:
