ASTD's Human Performance Improvement Certificate can help you earn the Certified Performance Technologist desgination from the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). 

In a nutshell, here is how the organizations and programs interface:

1. A professional takes the ASTD Human Performance Improvement Certificate Program through Chapman University Extended Education to learn about HPI. In the process of completing the program, a portfolio of an actual improvement project is assembled.

2. The project portfolio is submitted to ISPI as part of the evaluation process.

3. Upon portfolio approval, and upon meeting the experiential requirements, ISPI awards the Certified Performance Technologist designation.
