Dear Graduate:
Congratulations on the completion of your degree program at Chapman University College. You deserve to be very proud of this significant academic achievement. Commencement is the culminating event of your career at Chapman. All graduates, their friends and families are invited to attend this colorful ceremony to celebrate your accomplishment. We encourage students to understand deadlines and requirements thoroughly so that approval to take part in Commencement is not delayed.
Commencement Participation Requirement:
Application for Degree Conferral
Although a student may have completed all degree program requirements, graduation is not automatic. Students who are ready to graduate must apply for Degree Conferral with the Office of the Registrar in order to identify the semester in which they expect to complete their degree requirements.
The Office of the Registrar will assess the candidates' eligibility for degree conferral. The official conferral date will be the end of the semester in which all degree requirements have been met. Candidates for degree conferral must submit their application to the Office of the Registrar by the deadline on their conferral date.
