Why Choose Chapman University for your Telecom Training Needs? Training is delivered at your location or at one of our 25 campuses located throughout California and Washington. We bring the necessary equipment and labs to your location. Courses qualify for most company tuition reimbursement programs. Earn Continuing Education Units (CEU), official transcripts and a certificate of completion from Chapman University while learning the real world skills that will immediately help you on your job. All Courses are taught by industry recognized subject matter experts and practitioners. Who should attend Chapman University's Telecom classes? Our technician-level courses and boot camps are designed specifically for both outside plant and central office craftsmen and personnel requiring training that directly relates to their everyday work experience. These courses are not fluffed up "academic" discussions but instead designed to give the craftsman a broader set of skills and knowledge that will allow him or her to better perform on their job and in turn further their career. Our management-level courses and boot camps are designed for system engineers and a variety of telecommunication professionals requiring up-to-date information on the latest issues and trends facing managers today in the telecom industry. Our instructors bring to the classroom years of consulting experience both domestically and international. How is the training delivered? We bring the equipment and the labs to your location both nationally and internationally. Most classes are offered onsite at the client's facility however, when this is not possible or is not preferred by the client, a facility convenient and in proximity to the group being trained will be arranged. What are the qualifications of the instructors teaching Chapman University Telecom courses? All courses and boot camps are taught by industry recognized subject matter experts and practitioners. All of our instructors must be from the Telecom Industry. In fact most of our instructors consult directly with major telcos around the country and have on average 10-15 years professional field experience. Most of our technician-level instructors were formerly craftsman. What percentage of the classes or boot camps are "hands-on"? 100% of our technician-level courses consist of a minimum of 50% hands-on training with actual equipment and labs relevant to the topic being covered. About 40% of our management-level courses are primarily lecture and discussion based covering key business concepts and methodology involving some of the latest trends and issues facing the telecom industry both domestically and international. For the specific breakdown of the course and or boot camp you or your group are interested please contact us directly. Will my company pay for these classes? Many of our students utilize their tuition reimbursement benefits in order to assist them with their tuition for Chapman University telecom classes. Because these classes are backed by a 142-year old regionally accredited* (WASC) and nationally recognized university, our classes and boot camps qualify for most company tuition reimbursement policies. Check with your company's human resource department and or contact us and one of our Educational Specialists will assist you in the evaluation and processing of your paperwork. What does college credit mean to me and what are the benefits of telecom training from Chapman University? All Chapman University telecom courses and boot camps are offered for either Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or college elective credit so these are in fact college courses. When a student takes a Chapman course he or she earns a grade for the course documented by an official college transcript. Students also receive a certificate of completion from the University upon successfully completing the course or courses in their track of study. Since these are college classes a student may be able to transfer the credit into another institution's program. However Chapman makes no guarantee as to the transferability of a course. The transferability of Chapman's courses into another institution's program or degree is based solely at the discretion of the receiving institution. Students are advised to check with the institution and program of interest prior to enrolling in a Chapman course or boot camp. |
