Not everybody heads home for summer break. Some, especially upper classmen, find themselves in a mad scramble for the perfect summer beach house.

From Seal Beach to San Clemente, Chapman students tend to flock toward the coast to find summer jobs, relax in the sand and take advantage of their last years of freedom as carefree college students.

But scoring the perfect summer shack isn’t the only problem for Chapman students. Once relocated, finding Southern California’s top “hot spots” has been an even larger challenge for those newcomers to coastal living.

So here it is, a mini-guide to this summer’s hottest places to cool down in Orange County— favorite nightclubs, hidden restaurants and most popular bars.

SEJOUR

Can’t afford a trip to Europe this summer? Try Sejour. The French word for “holiday,” the Sejour bistro and lounge offers a unique taste of European flavor right in the heart of the Lido Marina Village on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach.

Just twenty-two minutes from the Orange campus, the interior of Sejour replicates the ambiance of London and Paris with rich oak paneled living rooms complete with personalized dining tables, cozy lounge areas, pristine glass chandeliers and ornate paintings, much like those found in the Louvre Museum.
