The Office of Academic Computing consists of:

The Multimedia Resource Center, including the Media Services Department
ChapNet Network Operations
ChapNet Web Site Administration
Computer Lab Management

In order to assure the use of compatible technologies throughout the University and to maximize connectivity, the Director of Academic Computing has "dotted line" responsibility for academic computer specialists throughout the University.

Much of the work of the Office of Academic Computing is carried out through the following committees:
The Library and Learning Resources Committee
This is the primary technology committee of the faculty. Through this committee, the faculty gives direction to the Office of Academic Computing.
The Connectivity Committee
This committee establishes and maintains policy regarding the University wide network and connectivity with the Academic Centers.  At the beginning of the 1997-1998 Academic Year, two subcommittes were formed.  The WAN committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month and focuses on issues of connectivity with the Academic Centers.  The Orange Campus, or LAN, subcommittee meets on the fourth Wedesday of each month and deals primarily with Orange Campus connectivity issues.
