There are 14 group study rooms located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries. Each room has a table, whiteboard, and chairs for group based work. The rooms on the 1st floor are available on a first come, first serve basis. The rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor are bookable. There are 6 Multi-Media rooms available for booking on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries. All of the rooms have a large flat screen, a computer workstation, a VHS player and a multi-regional DVD player. Five of the rooms include a whiteboard with a table and chairs. One room is designed for viewing films and has a built-in surround system, Blu-Ray player and lounge chairs. Please click on the following link for further information on booking a Multi-Media room.

Located on the 3rd floor in the M. Douglas Library of Music, the listening area contains 3 listening stations. Each station includes a record player, CD player and cassette player.

Study carrels are spread throughout the perimeter of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries and are for individual or partner study.

Study tables are available on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries.

There are a variety of study alcoves for student use on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries. Most of the alcoves offer comfortable seating and small tables for study.

Located on the 1st floor of the Joyce Marion Chapman Rotunda, the Study Commons and Café features 6 workstations, printer access, study tables and comfortable seating. There are also two group study rooms, a photocopier, change machine, vending machines, and a Declining Balance charging station.

During the Fall and Spring semesters after the library closes, the Study Commons in the Rotunda is open 5 nights a week, Sunday through Thursday and closed on Friday and Saturday nights. The Study Commons is staffed with a security officer to maintain a safe study environment for the Chapman University community. The hours are subject to change per availability of a security officer.
