There are 15 group study rooms located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors and these are available on a first come first serve basis. Each room has a table and chairs and the majority of them have a whiteboard for group based work. Dry erase kits are available at the Circulation Desk for individuals with a current Chapman University ID to check out. There are 6 multi-media rooms available in the Leatherby Libraries. 4 of them may be reserved while the other 2 are available for checkout on a first come first serves basis. These rooms include table and chairs, whiteboards, 42” plasma screen, a computer workstation, and the ability to view either DVD or VHS. Study carrels are spread throughout the perimeter of the 2nd and 3rd floors and are for individual or partner study.

Study tables are available on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the library.

There are a variety of study alcoves for student use on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries. Most of the alcoves offer comfortable seating and small tables for study.

The 24 hour study commons in the Rotunda is open in the Fall and Spring semesters continuously from when the Leatherby Libraries opens on Monday morning until it closes on Friday night. There are 6 workstations, print access, comfortable seating and sit down tables for study. During the hours that the library is normally closed, the Rotunda is staffed with a security officer to maintain a safe study environment for the Chapman University community.
