Fall 2009 Workshop Series CITING YOUR SOURCES
Wednesday, October 21: 11am – 12pm Monday, October 26: 1pm – 2pm Friday, November 13: 12pm – 1pm Wednesday, November 18: 3pm – 4pm Location: Leatherby Libraries 305 Do you know how to properly cite sources in your papers and class assignments? Are you required to use a citation style you are not familiar with in your current class? Do you need clarification on how to properly cite websites, journal articles, interviews, or other resources? If so, please join Librarian Julie Artman for assistance with APA, MLA, or Chicago style. Students are welcome to drop‐in without appointments at any time during these one‐hour sessions. GOOGLE SCHOLAR & GOOGLE BOOKS
Tuesday, October 20: 10am – 11am Wednesday, October 21; 3pm – 4pm Location: Leatherby Libraries 305 You’re familiar with Google, but do you know about Google Scholar and Google Books? Librarians Annie Knight and Stacy Russo invite you to come to this workshop to learn about what is available through these resources. The workshop will cover search techniques and how to locate the full‐text of online books and articles. BASIC LEGAL RESEARCH

Join an experienced lawyer‐librarian from Chapman’s Harry and Diane Rinker Law Library for a workshop on the basics. This workshop will cover the legal resources generated by each branch of our federal and state governments and will touch on treatises and other secondary sources. Attendees will learn how to locate resources through legal citations. | |||
