Welcome to the Community of Readers Website!
Community of Readers is open to everyone who has borrowing privileges at the Leatherby Libraries and a current library account, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members who purchase a community library card. Members select books from the Leatherby Libraries and receive prizes upon submission of their first review. The only requirement is that books must be obtained through the Leatherby Libraries.
Ready to join? Just follow these easy steps:
1. Select a book from Leatherby Libraries. Click here to search the online catalog. For books not in the Leatherby Libraries collection, you can use our Interlibrary Loan service to get the book from another library.
2. Read the book during the program dates.
3. Submit a brief 2-3 sentence review to the Community of Readers website. Click here to read a sample review.
4. You're a member!
5. Submit more reviews to win more prizes.
1 review - bookmark and pencil
3 reviews - mints
5 reviews = finger puppet
7 reviews - reader's choice (puppet, mug, secret stash)
10 reviews = Choose two
12 reviews = grab bag (created by the committee)
15 reviews = reader's choice + grab bag
There will also be monthly prize drawings!
Prizes subject to availability; substitutions possible.An end-of-summer party for all members will be held in August. The final prize drawings will be held at the party.
You are free to select your own books to read! The following optional reading lists have been created to offer suggestions, but there is no requirement to read books from these lists.

Looking for current bestsellers? Browse the McNaughton Collection on the First Floor of the Library for many selections. Still not sure what to read? Can't find what you are looking for? Please visit the Reference Desk on the First Floor of Leatherby Libraries for librarian assistance.
