Greetings ladies and gentlemen!

Welcome, of course, to the second issue of "Gabbo", the Chapman University Honours Literary Magazine. Yes, yes, we
have indeed attained this level of perfection that you see in only two issues! "Gabbo" is not your average literary magazine!
While most of the world's men are sitting back in their lime green polyester armchairs and smoking their pipes waiting for
their wives to bring them the latest edition of "Calliope" you have cast your lot with us. Good for you!

Now, we published our debut issue last semester. We were expecting to go straight to the top of the literary world right
alongside the New Yorker and the Weekly World News. With that last issue things didn't quite work out. The people
responsible for its failure were sacked and the people responsible for sacking those responsible were also sacked (just to
make sure). Now with the all the sacking complete we are ready to move forward and establish ourselves. And thus we
present to you... ... "Gabbo": Volume 2, Issue 1!!

This issue of "Gabbo" has been pressed onto a data compact disc as an experiment in ePublishing. Part of it was just to
see if we could do it but we had some good reasons for attempting it and here they are:

- It is way cheaper than hard, paper copies.

- There's more space for more stuff.

- It's easier to edit and alter.

- High resolution and colour for an aesthetically pleasing look.

- It saves trees (all proceeds from this issue will go to fund the killing of beavers).

- A CD leaves less litter when people throw it in the gutter (where it belongs!).

The eZine trend is the new wave, man! Catch it or get left behind in the shallow end. It has allowed us to include a musical
selection for the first time (although "musical" is somewhat relative in this case). We are indeed delighted to present you
with this and we here at the Gabbo Printing Office hope that you will enjoy it a lot more than we did making it!
