Chapman University is a member of the Futures Projectconsortium consisting of 16 independent California colleges and universities. The project was inititated by the Higher Education Policy Institute and funded by The James Irvine Foundation.

The Chapman Futures Project Team is committed to integrating technology into our teaching to increase our efficiency, our reach, and our effectiveness. To this end, the Project is designed to

To accomplish our goals, this project has the support of the Chapman University administration and of 23 faculty members who have volunteered to take the lead in exploring, sharing and learning about how technology has and will transform teaching.

Faculty involved represent every major school and unit at Chapman as well as its off-site Academic Centers. Teaching projects will span a wide range of interests and uses, from Web design and research to incorporating CD-ROM technology in the classroom. Each faculty member will also mentor two other faculty members to further disseminate what we learn.
