About Vicki Lambert

Approved by the APA for Recertification Credit Hours for 2009

Payroll is one of the fastest changing career fields in the business world today.  Constant fluctuation in government rules and regulations make it difficult to keep up.  The objective of this course is to instruct the payroll professional in all facets of payroll from the basics of What are wages? to the intricate complexity of fringe benefits taxation and garnishments.  Depending on the current experience of the student, its objective is to teach the solid skills and knowledge of payroll rules and regulations to the beginner and to increase or refresh the skills of the more experienced student.

Each of these classes is designed to take about 8 hours to complete. They are scheduled to start every three weeks, so that someone working through the series can easily complete it within a standard semester. There are no prerequisites for any of the classes and the student is not required to complete the series. The student is encouraged to self-select the classes necessary to fulfill their personal learning objectives. Students will earn 0.8 CEUs for each class completed. Those completing the entire series will be awarded a Certificate of Completion showing 4.0 CEUs.

Upon registration, the student will be assigned a Chapman identification and PIN along with instructions on accessing the course site. This program uses the eCollege platform which can be accessed from any internet browser. There are no special hardware or software requirements.

(This is not the preparation program for the CPP or FPC exams. If you are seeking that program click here.)
