208 Mathematical Analysis for Business
Prerequisite,
Math 104 or equivalent. Principles of linear algebra and differential
calculus applied to business and economic problems, particularly
single variable optimization models. Topics include systems of equations,
matrix algebra, concept of limits, differentials and optimization.

Cpsc 200. Builds a basic understanding of the value and uses
of information systems for business operations, management decision
making, and strategic advantage. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits.

Prerequisite,
Mgsc 208 or equivalent. Statistical methods used in reaching
quantitative decisions in business and economics. Masses of data
described by their central tendency and dispersion characteristics.
Probability theory, discrete and normal distributions, sampling
theory, sampling distributions, and statistical inference in business-related
problems. Testing hypotheses in large and small samples. Correlation
and regression analyses. Emphasis on the use of statistics as an
aid in reaching business decisions. (Offered every semester.) 3
credits.
