Academic Technology and Digital Media - Workshops, Spring 2012

Chapman upgraded to Blackboard 9 on January 1, 2012. While there are only modest changes in this new version of Blackboard when compared with the previous one, some instructors may wish to attend a training session on this new software as they set up their spring course sites. Several Bb9 workshops and open houses have been scheduled. These training sessions are open to all University affiliates. Dates, times and locations are listed below. (No RSVP is necessary.) In addition, department Chairs have been invited to schedule department-based workshops for their faculty and staff. If your department hasn't scheduled a Bb9 workshop yet, please have your Chair or Associate Dean contact Jana Remy to schedule one during Interterm or the first two weeks of the spring semester.

Blackboard v9 Workshop, Saturday, January 28, 10:30-noon, LL 305
This hands-on workshop will walk instructors through uploading content to the new version of Blackboard. While the workshop was scheduled specifically for adjunct faculty in CES, any instructor or staff person at Chapman may attend.

Blackboard Open House, January 30, 9-11am, Memorial Hall 3rd floor
All faculty and staff are invited to an Open House to ask questions and receive instruction on the new version of Blackboard. Bring a laptop if you have one and any course-related materials you would like to upload during the session. Coffee and donuts will be served.
